Assmannshausen

Holiday flats and guesthouses

The tourist information office lists holiday flats and guesthouses in Rüdesheim and Assmannshausen in an overview of its own.2 Many hosts are private individuals; we therefore do not name them individually but refer to this overview: Ferienwohnungen & Pensionen (ruedesheim.de) (in German).

Camping and motorhomes

The Campingplatz am Rhein (Kastanienallee 4) has more than 180 pitches with electric hook-up, 40 of them for motorhomes; it only takes tourists, no long-term campers.3 It is a seasonal site: in 2026 it was open from 29 April to 4 October.23 The 2027 season is published on the site’s website.

Youth hostel

The Rüdesheim youth hostel is closed until further notice. The German youth hostel association (DJH) refers guests to the hostels in Bingen, Kaub and Bacharach.24 You can reach Bingen by ferry: Getting there.

Can I stay right in the Drosselgasse? Several hotels are right on the lane or a few steps away, such as the Lindenwirt and the Rüdesheimer Schloss.1,4 Expect music there in the evening.
